UEFA has closed today (Monday) ticket sales procedure for the European Championships. The first historical qualification of Albanian in a European Championship has brought a lot of requirements for tickets.
In total, for the first three games of Albanian team in Euro 2016, were available 26,806 tickets, while fans' request to UEFA for these three games is more than doubled to about 54,700.
Albania's first match against Switzerland has the largest number of applications. This match will be played at the stadium of Lille, "Muro Pier", with a capacity of 50,000 seats, and Albania have only 5814 tickets in disposition, while the requirements are over 4 times higher, around 23,200 requests.The same issue occurs with the other 2 matches even though the probability of obtaining a ticket is higher, because of the biggest capacity of other stadiums.
Albania's second match will be played in Marseille, France. Stadium "Velodrome" has a capacity of 67,000 seats, and therefore for Albanian fans are available 11,108 tickets, while the number of applications increased to about 16,600.
1.5 times more applications are made for the last match with Romania, to be played in Lyon. "Stad de Lion" has a capacity of 59,000 seats and at our disposal are 9,884 tickets, meanwhile demands have gone to about 14,800.
UEFA has also closed the draw selection of tickets beneficiaries, but everyone who has applied will learn at the end of February whether or not the ticket has been provided . Advantage of Albanian Football Federation will have the Club of National Fans, the number of whom has gone over than 1,000 fans.
