The Kosovar film Shok "Friend", directed and screenplayed by Jamie Donoughue, is nominated for the prestigious Oscar awards in the category of best Live Action Short Film. The story in this film takes place during the war in Kosovo, where two friends are testing their friendship during the struggle to survive in the Kosovo War.
Shok is supported by the Kosovo Cinematographic Centre with producers Eshref Durmishi and Harvey Ascott.
This is the greatest achievement of the Kosovar cinematography so far and Shok has already opened the doors to Kosovar films to be present in these major events.
