Plane Full of Cannabis Fly From Albania to Italy
This small plane is used by a gang of Albanian traffickers to transport cannabis from Albania to Italy. The aircraft was found in Brindisi during an anti-drug operation, Italian and Albanian Police codenamed "Free Flight". 14 traffickers are arrested, six of them were arrested in Vlora, including a Police Officer and eight others in Brindisi.

Ardian Çipa - General Director for Organized Crime and Serious Crimes seid in a press release today: "Persons detained in Albania are: - Neko Bruhamaj, 45, born and resident Ramic, Vlora; Fatos Bruhamaj, 30, born in Ramicë and resident in Vlora; Fadil Shahaj, 53, born in Vllahinë and resident in Vlora, Igli Shahaj, 22, born in Vllahinë and resident in Vlora, Sokol Lamaj, 34, born and resident in Babice e Madhe, Vlora, as well as the Police Officer from Vlora, Vladimir Zanaj Vlora - Head of Human Resources Sector. In Italy are arrested eight people, residents in Brindizi: - Eliezer Ahmetaj, 27, Xhesian Ahmetaj 21, Trshi Ahmetaj, 29, Artjon Lamaj, 29, Kleo Lamaj, 30, Bukurosh Këshilli, 25, Virjon Imeraj, 32, as well as Virjon, pilot of the aircraft ".

The Information on the activities of this criminal group are taken from exchenged information from Italian Police. Afterward the Serious Crimes Prosecutor registered this criminal case and put under surveillance its members. Director-General for Organized Crime and Serious Crimes, Ardian Çipa said the plane is stopped in Brindisi after got  marijuana near Sevasterit in Vlora, landed in a street of the Xhelilaj village.

This is the amount of cannabis seized. As shown, plant roots are still wet. Head of the Italian Mission of Interforce, Michelle Grillo said that this is only the first phase of this operation and thanked the Albanian authorities for cooperation. It is not known yet who occupies the aircraft used for traffic.

Is expected that further investigation of Italian and Albanian authorities reveals full case.
