Chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha shared the concern for the growing crime in the country and the penetration of the crime to the highest levels of government with the Director General for Enlargement at the European Commission, Christian Danielsson, who is in visit to Tirana.
Basha expressed his deep concern over the country’s transformation into a breeding ground for the production and trafficking of drugs, citing the recent case of cocaine production facility or the involvement of a member of Albanian Armed forces in the international drug trafficking.
DP leader said that decriminalization is a vital process for the European future of the country, because every day we see cases of appointing people with serious criminal records to senior government positions.
Basha briefed Enlargement Director of unilateral acts of the ruling majority aimed at capturing justice and not reforming it.
