In the capital of Albania is opened today the International Tourism Fair "Tirana 2016".
On this occasion the opening ceremony of the exhibition took place the Palace of Congresses, part of it was the Minister of Economic Development, Tourism, Trade and Entrepreneurship of Albania, Arben Ahmetaj, and tour operators representatives.
International Tourism Fair, which will take place on 5-6 February was initiated by Albanian Tourist Union, with the support of the National Tourism Agency of Albania.Minister Ahmetaj said that this is a new initiative, and is intended to turn into an annual tradition to promote Albanian tourism, but also the regional tourism package.
"The good news is that the figures for Albania foreign visitors in 2015 had a significant increase. Tourism also has changed the geography, today we expect tourists from Eastern Europe, Northern Europe, or even from the Gulf countries. The challenge is to increase the quality and modesty of hospitality "- said Minister Ahmetaj.
The fair aims to promote regional cooperation Western Balkans tourism and attract more tourists and investors in order to increase revenue from tourism as well as the growing number of visitors.
Participants at the fair are important tourism operators from Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo, Italy, Greece, Montenegro, etc.
