JELSA, Croatia – Kosovo judoka Anton Cena has won the gold medal at the Jelsa Veteran European Cup 2026, adding another major success for the Kosovo Police.

Cena, who normally competes in the -66 kg category, moved up to -73 kg due to a lack of opponents. He won both of his bouts by Ippon, securing the gold medal.
More than 80 athletes from 12 countries competed in the tournament, which also served as an important test for Cena ahead of the European Police and Firefighters Games in Vigo, Spain.
A special moment came during the medal ceremony, when the Kosovo anthem was played and the Kosovo flag was raised, marking another proud international achievement for the country.
