Albanian Soldiers Marjus Cauli and Hambel Peçi Win New Jersey National Guard’s 2026 Best Warrior Competition

 
 Two Albanian servicemen, Marjus Cauli and Hambel Peçi, have emerged as winners in the 2026 Best Warrior Competition of the New Jersey National Guard.


Over four demanding days, the two soldiers faced a series of challenging physical and military tests, including obstacle courses, weapons qualification and shooting exercises conducted under pressure.
Cauli and Peçi each prevailed in their respective categories, demonstrating endurance, discipline and military skills.

 
The U.S. Embassy in Tirana congratulated the two Albanian servicemen on their achievement, describing their success as another example of the strong defense and military cooperation between Albania and the United States.

 
Their victory represents a notable achievement for the Albanian Armed Forces and highlights the participation of Albanian military personnel in joint training and professional development with U.S. military partners.
