The accident happened today in Neighborhood 13, where the pedestrian, identified by police as F. D., was crossing the road on the marked white lines when he was struck by the taxi.

The impact threw the man onto the sidewalk and left him with multiple fractures. He was taken by ambulance to hospital, but despite medical treatment, he later died from his injuries.

Taxi Driver Taken to Police Station

The taxi was being driven by A. T., who was taken to the police station following the accident.

Police are continuing their investigation to determine exactly how the crash happened and whether traffic rules were violated.

Concerns Over Ambulance Delay

The accident has also raised concerns about the emergency response. According to information from the scene, the ambulance reportedly took around 25 minutes to arrive.
