After reviewing the additional evidence and expert reports, the court decided to leave the original verdict unchanged, affirming the 16-year prison sentence.
In December 2025, the juvenile defendant was found guilty of aggravated murder in connection with the killing of Martin Cani, as well as attempted aggravated murder for seriously injuring another minor during the same incident.
The Appeals Court's decision confirms the lower court's ruling, maintaining the conviction and sentence in one of Albania's most high-profile juvenile crime cases.
