Anti-Government Protest in Tirana Enters Day 45 as Demonstrators March Through Capital Demanding PM's Resignation

Thousands of anti-government protesters gathered once again in Tirana on Tuesday as the ongoing protest movement entered its 45th consecutive day, continuing to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and sweeping political changes.

As on previous days, activists and citizens initially assembled at Skanderbeg Square at 7:00 p.m. before marching toward the Prime Minister's Office, where organizers addressed the crowd with speeches criticizing the government and reiterating their demands.

Following the rally in front of the government headquarters, demonstrators continued their march through the streets of the Albanian capital, carrying national flags and protest banners while chanting slogans against the government.

The protest campaign has become one of the longest-running anti-government demonstrations in recent years, with organizers maintaining daily gatherings in central Tirana.

Earlier this week, protest leaders publicly outlined their key political demands. These include the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his government, along with the establishment of a non-partisan transitional technical government that would govern for 12 months before organizing new elections.

Organizers say the daily demonstrations will continue until their demands are met, while calling on more citizens to join the movement in the coming days.
