According to documents reviewed by SPAK investigators, approximately €600,000 in funds of unknown financial origin are suspected to have been circulated through the purchase and rapid resale of a property measuring more than 15,000 square meters, local media reports.
At the center of the investigation is the company “Kryon.83” sh.p.k., which investigators are examining over financial movements and transactions recorded during 2023.
According to the investigative documents, the company reported liabilities toward suppliers amounting to 78.4 million Albanian lekë during that year, while purchase records indicate total acquisitions worth around 156.8 million lekë.
One transaction that drew investigators’ attention involves a contract dated September 13, 2023, through which Raiffeisen Bank sold an agricultural property in Sallmone, measuring 15,218 square meters, to “Kryon.83” for 55 million lekë.
However, SPAK investigators reportedly consider the subsequent resale of the property suspicious.
Only three months after acquiring the land, “Kryon.83” sold the same property to “Amar Logistic” sh.p.k., legally represented by Edmond Shaba, for 58 million lekë, according to the investigation file.
The short period between the purchase and resale has raised questions among investigators, particularly regarding the economic justification of the transaction and the origin of the funds involved.
The investigation also indicates that the payment was not carried out through a standard bank transfer, prompting further scrutiny from authorities.
SPAK is continuing its investigation to determine whether the transactions were part of a broader scheme to conceal the origin of funds, identify all individuals involved, and establish whether additional assets or companies were used in the alleged operation.
