RIMINI, Italy – Italian Carabinieri in Riccione, near Rimini, have arrested a 25-year-old Albanian man accused of possessing narcotics with the intention of distribution.

During an afternoon surveillance operation, Carabinieri officers reportedly caught the young man while he was selling a dose of cocaine to a buyer.
Following the arrest, police searched his apartment with the assistance of the drug-detection unit of the Riccione Local Police. Inside the residence, officers allegedly discovered around 50 additional doses of cocaine, already packaged and prepared for street sale.
According to investigators, the drugs were hidden inside a handbag and within shoes stored in a closet. Police also seized packaging materials and approximately €1,000 in cash, suspected of being proceeds from drug trafficking.
The 25-year-old was arrested and, following instructions from the Rimini Public Prosecutor’s Office, transferred to the city prison, where he remains available to judicial authorities pending a validation hearing.
