TIRANA, Albania – Anti-government protests continued for the 59th consecutive day on Monday as demonstrators marched through the main streets of Tirana after gathering outside the Prime Minister's Office.
Waving Albanian flags and carrying banners, protesters filled the capital's central boulevards, chanting slogans including "Your time is over!" and "Albania demands a revolution!" as they renewed calls for political change.
Organizers said the uninterrupted demonstrations, now approaching two months, reflect the determination of citizens to continue protesting until their demands are met. Participants vowed not to back down, describing the movement as a symbol of civic resistance and public dissatisfaction.
The protesters are calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, the removal of what they describe as the political establishment that has governed Albania over the past 36 years, and the implementation of sweeping political reforms.
The evening march is expected to continue through Tirana's main streets, accompanied by chants and demonstrations as the protest movement maintains its daily presence in the Albanian capital.
