During a television interview with Albanian media, Llangozi stated that former Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Damian Gjiknuri and Prime Minister Edi Rama’s General Secretary Engjëll Agaçi allegedly participated in the meeting.
According to the lawyer, the two officials were present as part of discussions related to agreements with criminal figures regarding potential investments in Albania.
“These are two members of the government who went there with the signature of the Prime Minister,” Llangozi said, adding that, according to his information, the claims are accurate but that the Special Prosecution Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) has not opened an investigation into the matter.
Llangozi further claimed that an agent from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) was present at the meeting and allegedly monitored the discussions.
“According to the information I have, there was a DEA agent who recorded the entire meeting. He was invited there as part of a criminal group,” the lawyer stated.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and no official confirmation has been provided by authorities regarding the claims. The individuals mentioned have not been found guilty of any wrongdoing in relation to these accusations.
