Kosovo Police Seize 60 kg of Suspected Cannabis in Joint Anti-Drug Operation in Pristina and Ferizaj

Kosovo Police, working in coordination with the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina and the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, have seized around 60 kilograms of a substance suspected to be cannabis and arrested four individuals during a large-scale anti-drug operation carried out in two separate locations.

Dozens of large, vacuum-sealed packages of suspected cannabis arranged in rows on a tiled floor. Each package is labeled with a yellow police evidence marker numbered from 1 to 20, along with additional triangular markers. The top row of packages features a black circle drawn on the wrapping, while the subsequent rows are marked with black crosses.
A total of 25 vacuum-sealed packages, totaling roughly 60 kilograms of suspected cannabis, arranged and numbered with evidence markers following a major cross-border anti-drug operation by Kosovo authorities.
The action followed several months of investigations and the use of special investigative measures aimed at identifying and dismantling suspected drug trafficking activity. Police conducted simultaneous raids in the municipality of Pristina and in the village of Babush in the Ferizaj region, where the suspected narcotics were discovered and confiscated.

Alongside the drugs, authorities also arrested four suspects, including one citizen of Kosovo, two citizens of Serbia, and one citizen of Albania. The involvement of individuals from different nationalities has raised suspicions of a possible cross-border network, although officials have not yet confirmed the full structure or scope of the alleged criminal activity.

During the operation, law enforcement also seized two vehicles and one truck believed to have been used in the transportation or support of the illegal activity. These assets are now part of the ongoing investigation, which aims to reconstruct the movement of the suspects and determine any wider connections.

Authorities have confirmed that the case remains under active investigation and is being handled by the competent prosecution office in Pristina. Further steps, including forensic analysis of the seized substance and questioning of the suspects, are expected in the coming days as investigators work to establish the full details of the case.
