During the intervention, police arrested two individuals in flagrante delicto: H. M., 30, a resident of Gjorm village, and R. L., 27, from Ramicë village. The suspects were stopped while traveling by car in Gumenicë, with H. M. identified as the driver of the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of approximately 800 grams of suspected cannabis sativa. Authorities believe the narcotics were intended for distribution and sale. The drugs, along with the vehicle used in the transport, were immediately seized as material evidence in the case.
Further checks revealed that R. L. was already wanted by law enforcement for multiple criminal offenses, including “Threatening behavior” and “Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons, and ammunition.” He is suspected of having threatened a citizen identified as A. B. with a Kalashnikov firearm on March 16, 2026.
Following the arrest, procedural materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlorë. The suspects are now facing charges related to the “Production and sale of narcotics,” while further investigations continue into their alleged criminal activities and possible wider involvement in drug distribution networks.
