Alis Kallaçi Dominates Eurovision Semi-Final With ‘Nân’ as Albania Advances to Grand Final in Vienna

Albanian singer Alis Kallaçi has emerged as one of the biggest breakout stars of this year’s Eurovision Song Contest 2026 after his emotional performance of “Nân” became one of the most talked-about moments of the second semi-final in Vienna.

Following the live broadcast on Thursday night, Albania officially secured its place in the Eurovision Grand Final, with Kallaçi’s powerful interpretation capturing international attention. The performance quickly generated massive engagement across digital platforms, with fans praising the song’s emotional depth, Albanian-language authenticity, and cinematic staging. Independent Eurovision communities and social media discussions described Albania as one of the “dark horses” of the competition.

“Nân,” written by Alis Kallaçi together with Desara Gjini, explores themes of motherhood, migration, and emotional separation—topics that strongly resonated with audiences across Europe. The performance was further elevated by the on-stage appearance of veteran Albanian actress Rajmonda Bulku, adding an additional emotional layer that sparked strong reactions online.

International Eurovision fans on community platforms described the performance as “moving,” “cinematic,” and “one of the most emotional songs of the year.” Many viewers also highlighted the use of English subtitles during the performance, saying it helped international audiences fully connect with the message behind the song.

With Albania now heading into the Grand Final, expectations are rising that “Nân” could deliver one of the country’s strongest Eurovision results in recent history. Alis Kallaçi, who won Albania’s national selection earlier this year, is now seen as one of the standout artists of the 2026 edition.
