According to police, the suspect—identified as S. T., 28—was living temporarily in a rented apartment in the village of Sheqishte, Patos. Officers intercepted him during a coordinated operation and conducted a search of both his person and a rented vehicle he was using at the time.
During the search, law enforcement discovered and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine. Authorities believe the narcotics were prepared for street-level distribution in exchange for financial gain. The seized material has been sent for further forensic analysis.
Police confirmed that the suspect was arrested in flagrante delicto and is now facing criminal proceedings for “Production and Sale of Narcotics” under Albanian law. The case file has been forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Fier First Instance Court for further investigation.
Albanian law enforcement agencies have intensified operations in recent months to combat drug trafficking and dismantle distribution networks, particularly in coastal and industrial regions.
