New data published by Euronews Albania reveals that in December 2025, accommodation structures recorded a 27.2% increase in total visitors compared to the same period a year earlier. Foreign visitors surged even more significantly, rising by 47.6%, highlighting Albania’s expanding appeal as a year-round destination.

Overnight stays also increased by 26.2%, with international tourists contributing to a 39.2% rise. Italy remained the leading source market, accounting for 25% of foreign visitors, followed by Kosovo with 16% and Germany with 6%.

These figures confirm a broader trend of diversification in Albania’s tourism sector, which is increasingly less dependent on peak summer months.

In total, more than 170,000 visitors were registered in accommodation facilities during December alone, signaling continued growth in inbound tourism and economic activity.

The data underscores Albania’s rising profile in the Balkans, as the country invests in infrastructure and promotes off-season travel.
