Luxembourg Development Cooperation has launched a new call for proposals in Kosovo through the LuxAid Demonstration Fund (LDF), a funding mechanism designed to foster the growth and impact of innovative business solutions with a strong focus on digital technology and green practices.
Purpose of the Fund
The fund aims to accelerate the development of businesses that address major social and economic challenges in Kosovo, while contributing to competitiveness, job creation, and sustainable development. Through this call, more than €1 million will be made available to support promising projects with high growth potential.
Key Innovation Areas
The program particularly supports projects operating in the following areas:
Digital innovation, including solutions in artificial intelligence, data analytics, automation, fintech, e-commerce, and cybersecurity.
Employment and digital skills solutions that help bridge the gap between workforce skills and labor market needs.
Health technologies, with a focus on cardiovascular care and e-health services.
Green projects, emphasizing energy efficiency, clean energy transition, circular economy, natural resource management, and climate change adaptation.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible, companies must meet several criteria:
Be registered in Kosovo before November 1, 2022.
Employ at least five people and have an annual turnover below €50 million.
Offer an innovative product or service that has already been tested in the market and has generated revenues for at least one year.
Be prepared to co-finance at least 50% of the total project costs.
Support and Selection Process
From all submitted applications, ten projects will be selected to receive mentoring and technical support to refine their proposals. These shortlisted projects will then present their ideas to a selection committee, with final funding decisions expected in July 2026.
The deadline for submitting applications is February 6, 2026.
