According to reliable sources cited by Euronews Albania, the ambassador underwent an emergency coronary angiography followed by a PCI coronary angioplasty with stent placement. The life-saving procedure was successfully completed, and Ambassador Shkurov is currently receiving treatment under intensive medical care in the capital.

Witnesses report that earlier in the day, while walking through the forests of Voskopoja with his wife, Ambassador Shkurov began to feel unwell. He immediately returned to his hotel, where he required urgent medical attention.

The swift intervention of the medical team from the local health center in Voskopoja provided him with first aid. Soon after, the regional hospital in Korçë was notified, and cardiologists there stabilized his condition before arranging his emergency transfer to Tirana University Hospital for specialized treatment.

This health scare has drawn significant attention in both Albania and Ukraine, given Ambassador Shkurov’s important diplomatic role. For now, sources confirm that the ambassador’s condition is stable, and he continues to remain under close observation.
