Kosovo Diaspora in Mourning: Luxembourg Road Accident Claims Lives of Three Young Albanians

 A devastating traffic accident on Sunday afternoon in Luxembourg has left five people dead, among them three young men of Kosovar origin. The victims have been identified as Edonik Kastrati, Ukë Bajraktaraj, and Ujkan Bajraktaraj.

The tragic incident occurred at around 5:00 PM, according to family members who shared the heartbreaking news through social media. Grief-stricken relatives expressed their pain and sorrow at the sudden loss of their loved ones.

“With a broken heart, I inform you that yesterday around 5:00 PM in Luxembourg, an accident took the lives of three young men – Uka and Ujkani, my nephews, as well as Edonik Kastrati, my cousin’s son. May Allah have mercy on them and grant them Paradise,” one family member wrote in an emotional message.

The accident, which took place on the N15 road between Feulen and Heiderscheid, involved a collision between a car and a van on Monday evening. The impact proved fatal, with all five individuals in the two vehicles losing their lives.

Media reports confirm the grim toll, describing the incident as one of the most tragic road accidents in recent memory. Among the victims, three were from Kosovo, leaving behind families and communities now shattered by grief.

As news of their passing spreads, messages of condolence continue to pour in, reflecting the profound loss felt not only by their relatives but also by the wider Albanian diaspora. The young men are remembered as “angels” whose lives were cut short far too soon.
