Only a few days separate us from a unique cultural event in Germany! On September 21, 2025, Albanians will proudly take part in the traditional Trachten- und Schützenzug parade during the world-famous Oktoberfest in Munich, wearing national costumes that represent Albania’s heritage and identity.
This historic parade gathers groups in traditional attire from Germany and many other countries worldwide. It features marching bands, festive carriages, cultural and sports associations, and colorful showcases of traditions.
The parade begins at 10:00 AM from Maximilianstraße and passes through some of Munich’s most iconic streets and squares, including Residenzstraße, Odeonsplatz, Ludwigstraße, Brienner Straße, Promenadeplatz, Stachus, Sonnenstraße, Schwantalerstraße, Paul-Heyse-Straße, and concludes at the Oktoberfest grounds in Theresienwiese.
For the Albanian community, this is a historic and emotional moment – a chance to present Albanian culture on a global stage at one of the most recognized festivals in the world. More than 7,000 participants will march, followed by hundreds of thousands of spectators and millions of viewers through live television broadcasts.
The organizers, Iliria Munich Association, emphasize the importance of this participation:
“Your presence will bring us joy and support on this important day for all of us. We warmly welcome you!”
This event is not just a celebration but also a proud showcase of Albanian identity, tradition, and unity within Europe.
