A new wave of online fraud has emerged in Albania, targeting unsuspecting citizens with promises of fast profits through cryptocurrency investments. The National Authority for Cyber Security (AKSK) has issued an urgent warning about a suspicious platform called TXEX, presented online as a legitimate crypto investment app.
TXEX – Not Registered, Not Licensed, Fully Illegal
According to AKSK, TXEX is neither registered nor licensed in Albania, and it operates completely outside the country’s legal framework. Despite this, it has been aggressively promoted online, luring dozens of citizens into what experts describe as a high-risk scam operation.
Authorities confirm that several victims have already reported financial losses, with no possibility of recovering their money.
How the TXEX Crypto Scam Works
Investigators explain that TXEX follows the classic pattern of online financial fraud:

Simulated communication groups on Telegram, WhatsApp, and Signal to create the illusion of an active investor community.

Fabricated profit reports designed to build trust and push victims to invest more.
