UEFA Goalkeeper A License Course Held for the First Time in Albania

For the first time ever, Albania is hosting the UEFA Goalkeeper A License course — the highest level of certification for goalkeeper coaching in European football. Organized by the Albanian Football Association (FSHF), this milestone marks a significant step forward in the professional development of football coaching in the country.

UEFA Goalkeeper A License Course Held for the First Time in Albania

The UEFA Goalkeeper A License enables participants to train goalkeepers at the highest levels of the game, including top-tier clubs and national teams. This elite qualification is recognized across Europe and is essential for coaches aiming to specialize in high-performance goalkeeper development.

The course will run for a full year and is structured into four separate blocks. The inaugural edition features 14 participants, each aiming to elevate their coaching expertise to the next level.

To ensure the highest standards of education, the course is being overseen by UEFA’s Savvas Constantinou, a member of the Jira Panel — the UEFA body responsible for coaching standards and education. Constantinou was present from the very beginning of the course, lending his expertise and guidance to the candidates and to the FSHF's Education Department specialists who will mentor throughout the program.

This initiative reflects the FSHF's ongoing commitment to raising the technical and tactical standards of football in Albania, with a particular focus on specialized coaching roles such as goalkeeper training. By bringing UEFA's top-level coaching license to the country, Albania continues to invest in the long-term development of its football infrastructure and talent.
