For the espionage charge, Vllajiq received a five-year prison sentence. He was also sentenced to six months in prison for unlawful possession of a weapon, which was commuted to a fine of 1,000 euros.

The verdict was issued shortly after Vllajiq admitted guilt during the initial hearing session held at the Basic Court in Pristina. He will remain in detention until the verdict becomes final.

According to the indictment filed by the Special Prosecution on May 22, 2025, Vllajiq acted as a collaborator for the Serbian Intelligence and Security Agency (BIA), collecting information that endangered the constitutional order and national security of Kosovo, as reported by “Betimi për Drejtësi”.

The indictment states that Vllajiq covertly recorded the movements of Kosovo Police and international presence vehicles in the northern part of the country. He also gathered data on Serbian citizens suspected of cooperating with Kosovo’s security institutions. Furthermore, he disclosed the identity of an officer from the Kosovo Intelligence Agency (AKI), whom he had known during his previous tenure as a member of the Kosovo Police.
