The third stage of the 2025 Giro d’Italia has successfully wrapped up, marking the final leg of the prestigious race on Albanian soil. This 160-kilometer route offered a breathtaking journey through some of the country’s most picturesque landscapes, starting and ending in the coastal city of Vlora, and passing through Kuç, Qeparo, Himara, and the Llogara Pass.

Danish cyclist Mads Pedersen emerged victorious in this spectacular stage, solidifying his dominance early in the competition by winning two of the first three stages. At 29 years old, Pedersen has reclaimed the maglia rosa (the iconic pink jersey) after also winning the opening stage from Durrës to Tirana. He now stands as the overall leader of the Giro d’Italia 2025.

With the conclusion of this stage, the Giro bids farewell to Albania, transitioning its journey back to Italy for the remainder of the race.
