Liridon Masurica, a 33-year-old citizen of Kosovo from Gjilan, known online as "@blackdb," has been extradited to the United States to face serious charges related to cybercrime, including fraud and identity theft. U.S. authorities allege that Masurica was the primary administrator of BlackDB.cc, a notorious illegal online marketplace.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida, Masurica is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit access device fraud and five counts of unauthorized use of 15 or more access devices. If convicted on all counts, he faces up to 55 years in federal prison.
U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced that Masurica was taken into custody by Kosovar authorities on December 12, 2024, and was extradited to the United States on May 9, 2025, under the bilateral extradition agreement between the U.S. and the Republic of Kosovo.
Masurica made his initial appearance in federal court in Tampa on May 12, 2025, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Lindsay Saxe Griffin. He was ordered to be detained pending trial.
Criminal Allegations
According to the indictment, Masurica operated BlackDB.cc from 2018 until his arrest. The platform allegedly served as a criminal marketplace for the sale of compromised account and server credentials, stolen credit card data, and other personally identifiable information (PII) — much of it belonging to U.S. residents, including individuals within the Middle District of Florida.
Cybercriminals reportedly used the information sold on BlackDB.cc to commit a wide range of illegal activities such as tax fraud, credit card fraud, and identity theft.
International Effort
The investigation was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in coordination with the Cyber Crime Investigation Directorate of the Kosovo Police. The U.S. Department of Justice's Office of International Affairs and the FBI Legal Attaché Office in Sofia, Bulgaria, played critical roles in securing Masurica’s arrest and extradition.
The prosecution will be handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Carlton C. Gammons. Substantial assistance was also provided by the Special Prosecution Office of the Republic of Kosovo.
Authorities emphasize that Masurica is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
