Albanian ballet dancer Eno Peçi honored in Vienna with the Ring of Honor award

 Eno Peçi, a well-known Albanian ballet dancer and choreographer at the Vienna State Opera, is honored with the ring of honor after 24 years of contribution as a ballet dancer on the renowned stage. Following the recognition of the "Order of Merit of Austria for Science and Art" (2019), this is a special acknowledgment for the Albanian artist.

Since 1997, he has been part of the Vienna Opera as a ballet dancer and choreographer. Eno Peçi is the first Albanian who has performed since 2014 on New Year's Eve with Viennese waltzes at the Vienna State Opera.

For his artistic merits, he has also been honored with the decorations: "Knight of the Order of Skanderbeg" (2018) in Albania. Eno Peçi, a ballet dancer, soloist, and choreographer, was born in Tirana. During the years 1994-1998, he studied at the Ballet School in Tirana.


Since then, Eno Peçi has been a member of the Ballet Company at the Vienna State Opera and Ballet. Renato Zanella, the ballet director in Vienna from 1995 to 2005, brought him into the ensemble, and in 2002, he gave him a role in the ballet "Spartacus." In 2003, he became part of solo singing until 2009 when he transitioned to solo ballet dancing.

Eno Peçi is the first Albanian ballet dancer to perform directly at the Vienna Concert at the beginning of 2014. He has collaborated with many renowned choreographers such as Renato Zanalla, John Neumeyer, Roland Petit, Boris Eifman, William Forsythe, Vladimir Malakov, Peter Right, Hans Van Manen, Giorgio Madia, Leonide Massine, Nicolas Musin, Jiri Kylian, Paul Lightfoot, and others. He has participated in the "Viennese Ball" and the Vienna Concert at the end of the year since 2004.

Peçi choreographed the performance of the Vienna State Ballet at the opening of the Opera Ball. Eno Peçi premiered the show "Exile" at the National Theater of Kosovo, which was very successful, and recently made waves on the opera theater stage in Albania.
