Jahja Nur Zulbeari and Onur Bayramoglu are two students from Gostivar who have created a map to obtain real-time information through satellite and land data. As a result, they have also won NASA's competition.

In a Skype interview with Albanian media, the young men talked about the map they created, revealing that it can identify fires within 15 seconds.

They also mentioned that they worked up to 20 hours a day to achieve their goal.

"I am in my second year studying software engineering in Skopje. Along with my friend Onur Bayramoglu, we participated in a competition organized by NASA and won first place. We created a map for fire detectors and for people in the area where there might be damage. We collect data directly from NASA satellites and identify the coordinates of the fire. Then, with Artificial Intelligence, we create simulations of where the fire may spread, what damage it could cause, and so on.

I believe for Macedonia, it has been an original idea, and we haven't had such an application worldwide. There are other applications where there are different coordinates for various fires, but they are not direct or not simulated by Artificial Intelligence. For now, within 10 to 15 seconds, I can detect that there is a fire.

The application took us 3-4 days to create, and we worked 15-20 hours a day to achieve our goal," said Zulbeari.
