Croatian President: We expect all EU countries to recognize the state of Kosovo

 Croatia strongly supports the international affirmation of Kosovo's independence and expects it to be recognized by all EU members.

Croatian President Zoran Milanović said this on Tuesday in Zagreb, during the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo, Donika Gërvalla-Schwartz, Croatian media reports.

"We expect all member countries of the European Union to recognize the independence of Kosovo", AI said.

Milanovic has welcomed the efforts to reach the agreement towards the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia proposed by the European Union. He said that this agreement would ensure long-term stability in South-Eastern Europe and a European perspective for the entire region.

The Croatian president and the Kosovar minister also talked about Kosovo's membership in international organizations.

Milanović said that Kosovo has always had the support of Croatia in international affirmation and in the advancement of the Euro-Atlantic integration process.

During the meeting, relations between the two countries were also discussed and areas of cooperation of mutual interest were addressed.
