The officers of the Shkodra police were stunned this Sunday when a young man appeared at the doors of the police station asking to hand over money. The 16-year-old, Erind Shkambaj, had left for work in the morning like every other weekend, but on the way he found a wallet on the ground.

It belonged to the Italian tourist Claudio Perrinella, who had stopped in the village of Oblika in Shkodër, where Erindi lives, to buy something and then the wallet fell out of his pocket. In his wallet was his identity cards, bank account cards and an amount of over 6,000 euros.

The generosity and nobility of the 16-year-old were rewarded with 100 euros by the Italian. Erindi tells Albanian media that everyone in his family are simple workers and are used to earning everything with sweat.

During the week, the young man continues high school, while on weekends he works as an assistant waiter in one of the restaurants in the city. In the afternoons, he trains hard with the Shkodra team with the dream of one day becoming a great goalkeeper.
