Aida Birinxhiku is only 23 years old, but has managed to become a well-known name in Swedish politics. Despite her young age, she is shining in the electoral campaign being held in Sweden, being one of the candidates in the first 5 of the Social Democratic party.

If she manages to gain the trust of the electorate, and her chances are very high, Aida will make history by becoming the first Albanian deputy in the Swedish parliament, writes Gazeta Infokus.

Birinxhiku lives and works in Halland, Falkenberg, Sweden, and is candidate number 3 on the list of the Social Democratic Party, thus increasing the chances that she will be the winner and represent also the interests of the Albanian community in this country in the Assembly.

The 23-year-old tells more about her story, how her family immigrated to Sweden in the 90s.

"My parents immigrated to Sweden in 1998. My father is a doctor by profession, while my mother is an educator. I am grateful for every opportunity that has been given to me for what Sweden has given to my family and other Albanian families, but I believe that Sweden can become even better", she said.

And this is exactly the reason that pushed him to enter politics in 2014, as well as to run for deputy in the parliamentary elections that will be held on September 11, 2022, in Sweden.

"That Sweden can become even better is the reason why I became active in politics since 2014. I started my political activism in the social democratic youth association in Halland, where for a while I was the president. Then I was elected to the municipal council in Falkenberg in 2018. While today I am a candidate in the parliamentary elections in Sweden".

In addition to having the opportunity to become the first girl with Albanian roots in the European Parliament, Birindzhiku will also become the youngest member of parliament in Sweden if she manages to get the votes.

She is considered a rising star in her party and is highly regarded by her colleagues.

Until she shows what is her main goal in politics, which she has been dealing with for a long time and which will continue even when she is elected as a deputy in the Swedish Parliament.

"I started to deal with politics because I want to change society for the better. While I chose the Social Democratic Party because I want to fight for a society where all people can feel freedom, security, and confidence in the future. Education is very important to me. I am committed to ensuring that all children, whether they are foreigners, rich or poor, have the same education conditions. It is important that every child succeeds in school, especially children who come from other countries to Sweden. Education is a way out of criminality, alienation, and poverty", she added.

But the 23-year-old is also fighting for positive changes in health and higher pensions in Sweden.

"Also, with a special commitment in politics, I have fought and will continue to do so for better health and higher pensions in Sweden. I have been active in politics since a young age, but of course not neglect my studies. After high school, I completed my studies at Lund University, one of the most difficult programs in Sweden," she said.

While she was still studying, the 23-year-old Kosovar worked for one of the most popular law firms in the Nordic countries, in business law.

Of course, she also excelled in her studies, finishing them half a year earlier than her classmates, with very high grades. Now she wants to spend more time in politics in order to achieve the changes she wants in society.

And there is no way to miss the gratitude for all the support he has received from the Albanian community in Sweden.

"I am very grateful for all the support I have received here from the Albanian community. I am proud that the Social Democratic Party has chosen me, a young woman with Albanian roots, as a candidate for deputy in the Swedish parliament", added the candidate for deputy.

This is how she ends her statement.

"I will continue my political activism and activity in order to inspire as many young people as possible to engage in politics."
