Besiana Kadare relieved of her duties as ambassador to the UN, returns to the post of ambassador to UNESCO

 Besiana Kadare, the daughter of the world-famous Albanian writer, Ismail Kadare, has been relieved of her duties as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the United Nations, in New York.

She was relieved of this position by the decree of President Ilir Meta, on the proposal of Prime Minister Edi Rama.

But, Besiana Kadare has been appointed by a second decree Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). She was Albania's ambassador to UNESCO before being appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the United Nations.

In place of Ms. Kadare, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to the UN has been appointed Ferit Hoxha, who until today was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Albania to UNESCO.
