49-year-old Turkish man declared wanted by Albanian Police arrested in Bulgaria

 A Turkish citizen declared wanted by the Albanian authorities, has been arrested in Bulgaria, State Police reports.

The 49-year-old man Rexhep Ipek, born in Turkey and resident in Durrës, has Albanian citizenship (he is provided with an Albanian passport), as he was married to an Albanian citizen. He was arrested by Bulgarian authorities in Sofia and extradited to Albania.

This person was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Tirana, on October 15, 2019, after the Court of First Instance for Serious Crimes imposed the security measure "Prison arrest" for the criminal offenses "Production and sale of narcotics", " Narcotics Trafficking...”,“ Structured criminal group...".

According to the Serious Crimes Prosecution, he was part of a structured criminal group that dealt with drug trafficking.
