139 new cases, 6 people lose their lives from Covid-19 in Albania

 Six citizens have lost their lives due to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in Albania, while the number of daily cases continues to record high figures.

"During the last 24 hours, 561 tests have been performed on suspects affected by Covid 19, where 139 people have been confirmed positive. The geographical distribution of positive daily cases is as follows: 81 cases in Tirana, 10 in Berat, 8 in Durrës, 7 in Tropojë, 6 in Elbasan, from 3 cases each in Shkodër, Kukës, Lezhë, Kavaja, Pogradec, from 2 cases each in Korçë, Divjakë, Shijak, from 1 case each in Lushnje, Mirditë, Tepelena, Vau i Dejës, Malësi e Madhe, Bulqiza.

Even after the great efforts of the medical teams, unfortunately, they could not win the battle with the disease in the two Covid hospitals in Tirana, a 58-year-old man from Durrës, a 70-year-old woman from Kruja, and an 82-year-old woman from Shijak, a 63-year-old man from Kukës, a 64-year-old woman from Shkodra and a 69-year-old man from Elbasan”.

In the last 24 hours, 69 citizens have been cured, bringing the number of cured to 3123, since the beginning of the epidemic in Albania.

Currently, in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and Shefqet Ndroqi, 110 confirmed positive patients are being treated where 21 patients are in intensive therapy, 6 of which are intubated." as reported by the Ministry of Health.
