Public transport companies in Albania refuse to resume operations without changing the protocol and without meeting the requirements they have. Eneo Sulejmani, president of the association within and between the capital, said:

"The Ministry of Health has lifted the restrictive measures, but the security protocol is in force. Secondly, we expect a decision from the Ministry of Infrastructure. It is impossible to start transporting because the protocol is not respected. We will consult with city and intercity operators and 90% of them with this security protocol does not go to work and have it impossible.

90% of operators are for not starting work with this protocol. It creates financial difficulties. First, in urban transport, it reduces the number of passengers in the vehicle by 75%. And in intercity transport it reduces by 50%. These are financial costs. Secondly, the responsible maritime and air entities are not responsible for the distance but for informing them why we should be punished,” he said.

But some transport companies will start operating, so Sulejmani says that "there are some transport companies who are thinking of starting but will come to our opinion and will see it on the ground that transport is not implemented in reality and creates financial difficulties," he told to media.
