Over the past three years, the USAID (United States Agency for International Development) IntoAlbania project - through the digital travel platform - has contributed to the reception of 138,000 tourists, generating over $ 37 million in revenue and creating 1,500 new jobs in the tourism sector.

The US Embassy wrote through a message on its official Facebook page that USAID / Albania works with these businesses, in such a way as to create new jobs.

According to the embassy, these new businesses will help Albania develop in the distant future and independently of USAID support.

"Did you know that small businesses create 2/3 of new jobs and account for 44% of economic activity? That is why USAID/Albania is committed to working with small businesses to help create jobs and new opportunities for the Albanian people.

We are especially proud of their support to help expand tourism in Albania. Over the past three years, USAID's IntoAlbania project helped welcome 138,000 tourists to Albanian communities through its online travel platform, https://www.intoalbania.com/, generating over $37 million in revenue and 1,500 new jobs in the tourism industry. These new businesses will help generate prosperity in Albania long into the future, and independent of USAID - US Agency for International Development support." the US Embassy to Tirana writes.
