Italian police have destroyed a criminal group in the operation codenamed Game Over in the province of Asti, lending large sums of money for small businesses in economic distress.

Several Italian citizens, who are suspected of being a well-known mafia family and an Albanian named Kreshnik Nikolli, 44-years old, have ended up in handcuffs. The victims are thought to have been small traders who were struggling economically at the time of the Covid-19 crisis, Italian media reported, Italian media reports.

Each of the people who had a small business turned to the group, as they could not get legalized loans. The group gave the money and then would be given back twice the money given.

When it was all over, the group recorded their homes, cars, and property. One of the detainees was horrified in relation to the victims, boasting that he had close ties to criminal groups and organized crime.

Calls and other wiretaps have revealed how the group used threats and other mafia-like methods to seize assets. Police arrested the gang members on several charges shortly after the wiretaps.

Arrestees are:

3) LO PORTO RICCARDO, 27 year old, from Asti;

4) NIKOLLI KRESHNIK, 44 year old, Albanian;

5) OLIVIERI EMANUEL, 35 years old, from Asti;

6) VINOTTI ROSA, 53 years old, from Asti;.
