Japan helps Kosovo with over $ 700,000 in the fight against Covid-19

 The Ministry of Health has announced that Japan has allocated over 700 thousand dollars for Kosovo in order to fight the new coronavirus.

A press release said that the news about these funds was announced to this ministry by the Charge d'Affaires at the Japanese Embassy in Kosovo, Mitsunori Ogasawara.

In a meeting between the acting Minister of Health in Kosovo, Arben Vitia and Ogasawara, the latter was quoted as saying that Japan considers the situation with coronavirus as a crisis of human security and for this purpose wants to help Kosovo cope with it.

"To this end, Japan has allocated $ 718,200 to the people of Kosovo through UNICEF," Ogasawara was quoted as saying.

In Kosovo, since the outbreak of coronavirus on March 13, a total of 1,038 infected people have been confirmed.

Of these, 791 were cured and 30 died, the rest are active.
