17 people who didn't respect the coronavirus measures detained in Kosovo

 During the last 24 hours, the Kosovo Police said that they have detained 17 people, who did not respect the measures imposed by the authorities to curb the further spread of coronavirus.

The police announcement states that the largest number of people who did not respect the measures is from the Municipality of Prizren, respectively 12 people.

Meanwhile, in Peja, three people were detained and in Mitrovica, South and North, one person was detained.

In Kosovo, the first phase of relief measures against COVID-19, the disease caused by a coronavirus, started on May 4.

Citizens have the right to leave three hours a day and the traffic schedule is adjusted based on the penultimate digit of the personal ID number.

In the first phase, was also allowed the reopening of some businesses.

The second phase is expected to start from May 18th to June 2nd, while the third on June 2nd.

However, the acting Ministry of Health warned that it could tighten isolation measures if the number of people infected with coronavirus increases.

According to data from the National Institute of Public Health, 919 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Kosovo; 671 patients were cured and 29 died.
