Dutch girls stranded in Albania work on farm to justify their stay
Due to coronavirus, the borders of the European states are closed, as well as of Albania. This phenomenon has caused numerous anomalies and problems related to human trafficking, so far that some 10,000 Albanians have been stuck abroad and unable to return home.

The same is true of other countries, where millions of people around the world have been are stranded far from their homes.

In this context, an interesting story comes from the village of Fishta, Lezha, at the tourist complex "Mrizi i Zanave", where two girls from the Netherlands have been stranded and cannot go home to the Netherlands because of the closure of the borders, and ask for help doing whatever work only to stay until the borders are opened.

In an interview with Top Channel, the owner, and chef who welcomed the girls to his complex, Altin Prenga tells some details about the Dutch and how they work at the farm, which is known for its original bioproducts in the area.

It's about Mary and Franky.

"In fact, they came here to our restaurant, and then they went to Greece. Then when they came back to Albania, they came here again before they went to the Netherlands, and this coincides with the closing of the borders. And we as Albanians have a tradition of hospitality. They asked to work, to help, to justify their stay here. But I've told them it's not a condition. Here I have Mary because Franky doesn't like cameras." says Altin Prenga to Top Channel.

But what do Mary and Franky do on the farm?

Prenga: They do every kind of farm work, in the store sector they do the packaging. They wash the dog and walk, feed the ducks, transport the corn. Strictly speaking, they work hard. They may even get bored after getting used to a rhythmic life.

Mary, do you like staying there, what works do you do?

Mary: I like a lot. I help, I work in order to justify the stay, because I have nowhere to go. I do any kind of work ...

How much do you intend to stay there?

Mary: I have no idea. But I believe once the borders are opened, as we have to go to keep running our business there as it is closed now...
