Eight tests proved negative, there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Albania

 
 The Minister of Health and Social Protection has again gathered this afternoon the Task Force of experts and managers of health institutions for the coronavirus COVID-19, where is reported the current situation in our country and the measures taken.

According to the Institute of Public Health, where the certified laboratory conducting the coronavirus test for COVID-19 is located, it turns out that 8 suspected cases have been tested so far, which have proved negative. Experts confirmed at the Task Force meeting that so far there is no confirmed case of coronavirus in our country.

The Task Force reported continuing measures to control and prevent coronavirus.

“Duplication of staff in Health Units at border points, airports, ports, and land border crossings, monitoring of passengers by the health team also through temperature measurement.

Enhance controls at border crossings, for each passenger, for each passenger coming from the geographical map of places of coronavirus outbreak, as defined by the WHO.

Increased information and increased visibility of messages at border crossings, to provide travelers with more information on self-declaration in health facilities in the event of a clinical sign or contact with confirmed cases of coronavirus in these countries.

Increase the amount of personal protective equipment for all levels of service, from border crossings, to hospital health facilities up to the level of laboratory diagnosis ”.

The Task Force stressed that the pre-determined measure of self-quarantine of persons coming from countries with community outbreaks of the virus should continue.
