Education Minister of Albania Besa Shahini has revoked the license of the private school in Tirana Udha e Shkronjave, which had been shut down for two weeks because of coronavirus fear.

The news comes from Minister Shahini herself, who writes on Facebook that the leaders of the school, which she says are spreading panic over a virus that does not exist in Albania, should be prosecuted.

“The school closes out of the school year plan ONLY by ministerial order. The leaders of a private school had decided not to respect this and have closed the school for 2 weeks. In the face of this lawlessness, we are obliged to revoke the school's license.

Students will be transferred to another school. While school leaders spreading panic by shutting down the school illegally, for allegedly preventing a viral situation that does not exist in Albania, should be prosecuted by the judiciary,” Minister Shahini wrote.
