 Albanian President Ilir Meta received today in the Presidency an Albanian talent, Arta Cika, who has won the TechWomen100 Award in Great Britain.

Meta announced this through a post on his Facebook account.

"I am happy to meet Arta Cika, a young Albanian scientist and winner of the TechWomen100 Award in the United Kingdom for 2019, who has dedicated this win to Albania, in the country were she received her first knowledge," President Meta wrote.

"Its an inspiring message for all the Albanian young men and women to dream hard and not stop trying to realize their dreams in our beloved homeland," President Meta adds.

Her field of research includes information theories, spatial networks, random geometric graphs, and graphical entropy.

Arta Cika has completed her degree in communication engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy.

Currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Engineering Science at Oxford University, England, she is also a member of the Women in the Engineering Committee at Oxford University and part of the RisingWISE Program.
