Serbian actress Bojana Maljevic: Kosovo is independent, compromise is needed

While relations among Kosovo and Serbia are almost 'zero', there are those Serbs who acknowledge that Kosovo is already an independent state.

One such case is the Serbian actress and producer Bojana Maljevic, who has surprised the Serbian media with her stance on Kosovo, as Danas writes.

Maljevic said that the fact that Kosovo is a state and independent must now be acknowledged.

"Kosovo is independent, whether it has seats in the UN or not," she told to the Serbian media.

Maljevic has blamed the politics about the Kosovo-Serbia conflict, stressing that there must be a compromise between the parties.

"This does not mean that both sides should be equally satisfied, though they should because this is the meaning of the compromise," the Serbian actress said.

“I would never be for the conflict. It seems to me that the conflict in the Balkans is of great importance. Dialogue lasts a long time, not from this government but from the past. In that sense, if the international confederation can improve something or speed up a compromise, then has to be done in this way," Maljevic explained.
