Mojahedin: We Are Safe in Albania; A strong US response against Iran makes the world a better place

There are 2,500 members of the Iranian opposition MEK in Manza - about 15 kilometers northeast of the city of Durres. They live in this camp, which is always in conditions of maximum security. MEK members say they feel safe in this camp in Albania, although agents of the Iranian regime occasionally appear as journalists or as their family members.

"In fact, security in Albania is another issue because everywhere we go we are under the attack of regime terrorism. They chase the members of the Mojahedin to kill and attack them with bombs. We are not alone. Members of the Mojahedin are located in other European countries as well. The only way to have security in Albania is by showing determination against the Iranian regime, as Albania has done so far. Thankfully Tirana expelled the Iranian ambassador who was here and was part of the terrorism. This makes Albania safer for Albanians, and certainly for us,” said Bahzat Saffari in an interview with an Albanian TV channel, who is a legal adviser.

Mojahedin says their lives depend on the attitude of the United States of America.

"In fact, the situation between Iran and the US is very tense now. The Iranian regime is the godfather of international terrorism, feeds all the countries around the world, especially the Middle East. The language of determination and a strong response to the Iranian regime, as the US has done so far, makes the world and the Middle East a safer place," says Bahzat Saffari.

Former MEK fighters who were under US protection in two Iraqi camps were brought to Albania as part of a humanitarian plan because they were constantly under bombing in Iraq.
