Kosovo Government allocates € 500,000 euros to Albania following the Earthquake, € 100,000 the North Macedonian

 The Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj has gathered the cabinet of the Kosovo Government at an emergency after the earthquake in Albania. Haradinaj has announced that he has launched Kosovo emergency teams to assist the Albanian people. He said the teams are already in contact with Albanian authorities.

The Kosovo government has allocated € 500,000 to help Albania.

This decision was taken at an extraordinary meeting of the government, convened by the acting Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.

In addition to the KSF and Police contingent sent to Albania, acting Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said he has ordered firefighting teams, rescue teams, and companies contracted by the Ministry of Infrastructure to be sent to assist the Albanians after the harsh earthquake.

Haradinaj has announced that he has launched Kosovo emergency teams to assist the Albanian people.

He said the teams are already in contact with Albanian authorities.

"The earthquake affected Kosovo as well, but there are no consequences for people, if such a thing happens in Kosovo, the president can order the KSF for extraordinary help," he said.

Finance Minister Bedri Hamza said he is asking the government to allocate 500,000 euros for damages caused in Albania.

On the other hand, the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia will provide an amount of 6 million dinars or 100 thousand euros as initial aid to Albania after the tragic earthquake.

The decision was taken at today's government meeting.

The Macedonian government also announced that a team of about 30 experts would be sent to Albania to participate in rescue and first aid operations in the affected areas.
