Zaev, Rama and Vucic will meet in Ohrid. The leaders of the Western Balkan countries will meet this Sunday in Ohrid for the second meeting, after Novi Sad.

It will be a trilateral meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama and the Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia, Zoran Zaev.

Serbia's president and the two prime ministers will also meet with Bosnia and Herzegovina's Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic and Montenegrin Economy Minister Dragica Sekulic.

Following the leaders' meeting, the plenary session will continue where the leaders of the Western Balkans will meet with representatives of international organizations and institutions, the European Bank for Construction and Development, the Council for Regional Cooperation and the European Commission and the World Bank.

The aim is to find agreement on a list of priority measures, mainly within the framework of the "REA MAP" measures, to implement them at an accelerated pace within 2020 and ideally before the next Berlin Process Summit.

Oculus News has learned that these measures are related to completing the entire bilateral legal framework for free movement of people with just IDs and for those countries that still use passports at border crossings.

The Ohrid meeting will also discuss some practical but impactful trade measures between our countries in the Western Balkans, including the provision of a roadmap for upgrading cross-border infrastructure where possible, removing some bureaucratic and other kinds of procedures which can be digitized etc.

All of these measures will be implemented in line with EU legislation (acquis) and in line with the MAP REA and the Berlin Process commitments but creating an accelerated tranche according to the specific needs of the three parties.

This Initiative remains open to Kosovo, Bosnia, and Montenegro, and says the format is complete at the next meeting in Albania.
