Until 2047, the Bank predicts that the net emigration will continue at the same rate, ie every 5 years (net) about 40 thousand Albanians will leave, bringing the total number of the persons that will emigrate to 280 thousand people.
With the natural increase of the population that is reaching zero and the high level of emigration, Albania is expected to shrink rapidly.
